The Goyangi Darakbang branch in the Konkuk University neighborhood has 20 cats, and some of them are different breeds.
On one side of the establishment, the names of individual cats and brief descriptions are posted. There are many precautions posted at the entrance and the counter. The menu board lists various cat snacks and drinks.
Common sense cat reminders are displayed on the window panel. One says, “They sleep a lot, so do not wake them up.” In fact, when I visited at 1 or 2 o’clock in the afternoon, half of the cats were in dreamland after their grooming.
At various places in the attic, drawings of cats are posted. The sketching style differs from one drawing to the next, so it is obvious that visitors with a talent for drawing had left their creations here.
Two large cat towers in the shape of fish can be found inside. The ceiling and walls are covered with cat accessories. There are even places in the ceiling where cats can rest!
If you purchase a cat snack costing 1,000 or 2,000 won, you can use it to grab their attention, so take note!
